GORINCHEM – Large clouds of dust rose last week from the site at the Chalk Street, but now that the demolition work is almost complete, the archaeologists' hearts are beating faster. A special find could be made at the future location of the V&D. Part of the courtyard of the Van Arkel family, which dates from the fourteenth century.
In the coming period, the archaeologists will thoroughly investigate the site, after which the department store will be built.
