Archaeologists find skeletons behind the Gorcum Museum

atlasvoice

This research into the skeletons behind the building of the Gorcum Museum was carried out in anticipation of the placing of garbage containers. Earlier this month, a limited excavation took place on the Varkenmarkt. The skeletons found are being examined further. With dendrochronological research we also hope to learn more about the age of the coffins. The latter will be a difficult task because it is difficult to reconstruct complete annual rings from the sawn wood.
