GORINCHEM – After the weekend, digging will take place at the Great Tower, to investigate whether there are more human remains. In January, a large quantity of bones was found during work on the church's fire extinguishing system. At the time, it was already expected that there could be human remains, but because there were so many, the work was temporarily stopped. The route for the fire extinguishing pipe and the fire pit is therefore being excavated by Hollandia archaeologists from Zaandijk.
