From July 23 to 27, 2007, Hollandia Archeology a definitive investigation was carried out on the former Den Haan site. At this location, from the 17de century until the 19thde century one ropewalk located.
During the fieldwork two buildings, an oven and a number of post holes were found that may have been connected to this ropewalk can be connected. The buildings are located exactly at the end of the ropeway, as indicated on the cadastral map of 1832. The buildings and oven date from the 19de century. The post holes may relate to an older phase of the ropewalkFurthermore, remains of at least one raising layer were found with pottery from the period 1500 - 1575 and possibly two more raising layers, one of which contains pottery from the period 1610 - 1640 and the other dating from after 1675.
